Lansdowne Road
Lansdowne Road was a stadium in Dublin owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) that has been the location of a number of sports stadiums. It was used primarily for rugby union and for association football matches as well as some music concerts. The stadium was demolished in 2007 to make way for the construction of the Aviva Stadium, which opened in 2010. Lansdowne Road took its name from the adjacent street.

The Royal Canal (Irish: An Chanáil Ríoga) is a canal originally built for freight and passenger transportation from the River Liffey at Dublin to the River Shannon at Cloondara in County Longford in Ireland. It fell into disrepair, but has since been restored for navigation. The full length of the canal was reopened on 1 October 2010.

Point Theatre
For other uses, see The Point. For the rebranded venue (after July 2008), see The O2 (Dublin). The Point Theatre (often referred to as the Point Depot or simply as the Point) was a concert and events venue in Ireland, that ran from 1988–2007, enjoyed by in excess of 2 million people. It was located on the North Wall Quay of the River Liffey, amongst the Dublin Docklands. The Point was closed in the summer of 2007 for a major redevelopment and underwent a rebranding as the O2 in July 2008.

North Wall, Dublin
North Wall is an inner city area on the Northside of Dublin. Dominated by a combination of older housing, dockland activities and new development, from apartments and offices to hotels and the planned multi-purpose Point Village, North Wall lies downstream of the city centre.
National Performing Arts School
The National Performing Arts School (NPAS) is located in Dublin, Ireland. The school is for students aged from 2 to 20 and 20+. Courses available include drama, singing and dancing. Every two years a show is performed in the Olympia Theatre. The NPAS is run by Jill Doyle and Eamon Farrell. They also run various workshops throughout the year.
Shelbourne Park
Shelbourne Park is a greyhound racing stadium in the south Dublin inner city suburb of Ringsend. The stadium also played host to the home matches of Shelbourne FC, who play in the League of Ireland, from 1913/14 up until 1948/49. The first match was a 1-1 draw against Bohemians and their last match there was a 2-2 draw against Waterford. Shels left Shelbourne Park with the intention of building a new stadium in the nearby district of Irishtown.
Irishtown Stadium
Irishtown Stadium was originally built in the 1950s by Shelbourne FC, a football club in the League of Ireland. Shels however only spent one season (1955/56) playing competitive first team matches there due to lack of spectator facilities. The stadium was renovated in 2002 is now run by the Dublin City Council and caters for athletics and amateur football clubs.
East Wall Road
East Wall Road (Irish: Bóthar an Phoirt Thoir) runs from the junction of the East-Link drawbridge and North Wall Quay, along the side of the northern part of Dublin port to the junction of the North Strand Road and Poplar Row. The Point Theatre lay at its southern end before it was demolished to make way for the O2 in 2008. It marks the sharp boundary between the port and the residential area of East Wall.
Docklands railway station
Docklands Station (Stáisiún Ceantar Dugaí) is a new railway station serving the Dublin Docklands area in Ireland owned by Córas Iompair Éireann planned as part of the Government Transport 21 initiative. The temporary two-platform station is one of three termini for the Western Commuter service run by Iarnród Éireann. The others being Dublin Connolly and Dublin Pearse. Services run to M3 Parkway railway station or to Clonsilla with shuttle rail service to Dunboyne and M3 Parkway.
Grand Canal Dock
Grand Canal Dock is an area in Ringsend near Dublin city centre, surrounding the Grand Canal Docks, an enclosed harbour or docking area between the River Liffey and the Grand Canal. Since 2000 the area has undergone significant redevelopment as part of the Dublin Docklands area redevelopment project. It is bounded by the Liffey to the north, South Lotts Road to the east, Grand Canal Street to the south and Macken Street to the west.
Sheriff Street
Sheriff Street (Irish: Sráid an tSirriam), known by locals as "Sheriffer," or "The Street" is a small area in the north inner city of Dublin, Ireland, lying between East Wall and North Wall and often considered to be part of the latter. The Sheriff Street area might be defined as Upper and Lower Sheriff Street, Mayor Street, Guild Street, Commons Street, Oriel Street, Seville Place, Crinan Strand and Mariner's Port. Sheriff Street had a reputation as a run-down area with a high crime rate.
Convention Centre Dublin
The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) in the Dublin Docklands was opened in September 2010. The Convention centre overlooks the River Liffey at Spencer Dock. It was designed by the American-Irish architect Kevin Roche. The CCD was shortlisted for the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards - Engineering Project of the Year 2010.
Liffey Service Tunnel
The Liffey Service Tunnel is a service tunnel for various pipelines in Dublin, Ireland, owned by Dublin City Council. The tunnel was designed by Atkins and constructed by a Joint Venture of the German Contractor Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart and the Irish Contractor Cleary & Doyle Contracting Ltd. , Wexford. Construction period was from September 2006 until October 2008.

Sir John Rogerson's Quay is a street and quay in Dublin on the south bank of the Liffey between City Quay in the west and Britain Quay. Formerly part of Dublin Port, it has some of the few remaining campshire warehouses in Dublin.

Britain Quay is a quay and street in Dublin on the south bank of the River Liffey between Sir John Rogerson's Quay and the confluence of the River Liffey, River Dodder and Grand Canal. The U2 Tower was to have been built here.
The O2 (Dublin)
The O2 (stylised as The O2) is a 14,000-seat amphitheatre located at North Wall Quay in the Dublin Docklands in Dublin, Ireland, which opened on 16 December 2008. The venue is jointly owned by Live Nation and Harry Crosbie (Amphitheatre Ireland Limited) with Live Nation in charge of programme booking and operating the venue. Amphitheatre Ireland Limited have owned and operated the venue led by Mike Adamson (Live Nation) CEO of Amphitheatre Ireland Limited since 1989.
Boland's Mill
Boland's Mill is located on the Grand Canal Dock in Dublin, Republic of Ireland at the corner of Pearse Street and Barrow St. The majority of the complex consists of concrete silos built between the 1940s and 1960s. The mill stopped production in 2001 and the site is now derelict.
Aviva Stadium
The Aviva Stadium (also known as Lansdowne Road) is a sports stadium located in Dublin, Ireland, with a capacity for 51,700 spectators (all seated). It is built on the site of the former Lansdowne Road stadium, which was demolished in 2007, and replacing it as home to its chief tenants: the Irish rugby union team and the Republic of Ireland football team. The decision to redevelop the stadium came after plans for both Stadium Ireland and Eircom Park fell through.
Wheel of Dublin
Wheel of Dublin (Irish: Roth Átha Cliath) was a transportable Ferris wheel installation located beside The O2 on the North Wall, Dublin, Ireland. Commissioned by Harry Crosbie and operated by World Tourist Attractions, it opened to the public in July 2010 and was closed and dismantled 16 months later in November 2011.
Lansdowne Road football riot
The Lansdowne Road football riot was a riot during a friendly football match between the Republic of Ireland and England in Lansdowne Road stadium on 15 February 1995. The riot was caused by the neo-Nazi organisation Combat 18, and injured twenty people. Combat 18's plans to cause trouble during the match was known by the British National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), and this was communicated to the Gardaí (Irish police).
Cymric (schooner)
Cymric was a British and Irish schooner, built in 1893. Initially she was in the South American trade. She joined the fleet of Arklow, Ireland, in 1906. She served as a British Q-ship during the First World War; she failed to sink any German U-boats, but did sink a British submarine in error. After the war, she returned to the British and, later, the Irish merchant service. In Ringsend, Ireland, she collided with a tram, her bowsprit smashing through the tram’s windows.
