Fatima Mata National College
Fatima Mata National College honours the name of our Lady Of Fatima the Blessed Virgin Mary seen in apparition at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. It is a prominent college in the Indian State of Kerala. Ashtamudi Lake
Ashtamudi Lake (Ashtamudi Kayal) in the Kollam District of Kerala, India, is the second largest and deepest wetland ecosystem, a palm-shaped (also called octopus-shaped) large water body, next only to the Vembanad estuary ecosystem of the state. Ashtamudi means 'eight coned'(Ashta = 'eight'; mudi = 'coned') in the local language of Malayalam. This name is indicative of the lake's topography: a lake with multiple branches. The lake is also called the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala.

The college is located at Karikode, six kilometers from the city of Kollam(Quilon) in southern Kerala. Chathannoor
Chathannoor is a town in Kerala situated at the Kollam District on the banks of Ithikkara River. It is about 16 KM from Kollam City. Chathannoor is in the extreme east part of Kollam District of Kerala, around 55 km north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Kallada River
The Kallada River is one of two major rivers that flow through the Kollam District of Kerala, India. It originates on the Kulathupuzha hills near Ponmudi and travels for 121 km, flowing through Punalur, Pathanapuram, Kunnathur and Kallada before ending at Ashtamudi Lake. The Palaruvi Falls also feeds Kallada river.
Paravur Kayal
Paravur Kayal is a lake in Paravur, Kerala, India. Although it is small, with an area of only 6.62 km² http://www. kerala. gov. in/statistical/panchayat_statistics2001/klm_glnc. htm, it is the end point of the Ithikkara River and part of the system of lakes and canals that make up the Kerala Backwaters. It has been connected to Edava Kayal and Ashtamudi Kayal as part of the Trivandrum - Shoranur canal system since the late 19th century.
