Pest, Hungary
Pest is the eastern, mostly flat part of Budapest, Hungary, comprising about two thirds of the city's territory. It is separated from Buda, the other part of Budapest, by the Danube River. Among its most notable parts are the Inner City, including the Hungarian Parliament, Heroes' Square and Andrássy Avenue. In colloquial Hungarian, "Pest" is often used for the whole capital of Budapest.
Semmelweis University
Founded in 1769, Semmelweis University is the oldest medical school in Hungary. The faculty became an independent medical school after the Second World War and developed into a university teaching medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences, health management as well as physical education and sport sciences. The university is named after Ignác Semmelweis (1818-1865), the obstetrician who discovered the cause of puerperal fever in the 1840s.

The construction of the steel girder bridge was started in 1992 to the plans of Tibor Sigrai. It is named after the Rákóczi family. This bridge is the southernmost and the second newest public bridge in the capital; it was inaugurated in 1995.

Budapest Keleti railway station
Budapest Keleti railway station (Budapest Keleti pályaudvar) is the main international and inter-city railway terminal in Budapest, Hungary. It lies at the end of Rákóczi Avenue and at the beginning of Kerepesi Avenue and Thököly Avenue. The terminal is named after the eastern (keleti) direction towards Transylvania and the Balkans. The building was constructed in eclectic style between 1881 and 1884 and was one of the most modern railway stations of Europe in that time.
People's Park (Budapest)
Népliget is located in Budapest, Hungary. It is a central bus station for coaches. In front of the bus station, there is a large, open field which is practically called the Népliget, but Hungarians tend to use Népliget in relation with the bus centre. Beside the coach station and the park itself, Népliget is also noted for the Planetarium. The 3rd Metro line (North-South line) in Budapest has a stop there. The tram #1-#1A have three stops along the north-western border of the Népliget.

National Theatre (Budapest)
The National Theatre is the main theatre of Budapest, and the largest such institution in Hungary, opening originally in 1837. Its company used several locations since then, including the original building at the Kerepesi street, and the People's Theatre at the Blaha Lujza Square. Their current home, the new National Theatre opened in 14 September 2000.

Keleti pályaudvar (Budapest Metro)
Keleti pályaudvar is an underground station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. The metro station is located underneath the main long-distance and international railway station on Baross Square in Pest's 8th district. The station is one of Budapest's major transport hubs. Next to the station, there are several trolley bus termini. The station will also be the temporary terminus for the new Metro 4 line, with the line expected to open in 2015.
Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium
Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Budapest, Hungary. The stadium can hold 12,700 people (27,000 in the 1990s) and was built in 1912. It was renamed after the MTK and Hungary footballer Nándor Hidegkuti. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of MTK Hungária FC. The stadium was used in the film Escape to Victory.

Stadion Albert Flórián is a sports stadium in Budapest, Hungary. The stadium is home to the famous association football side Ferencvárosi TC. The stadium has a capacity of 18,100, set to be expanded to 25,000. Formerly known as Üllői úti stadion for its location, it has been renamed for Ballon d'Or winner club legend Flórián Albert in 2007.

Ludovica Military Academy
The Royal Hungarian Ludovica Defense Academy, shortened to Ludovica or Ludovica Academy, was Hungary's officer cadets training institute prior to 1945. The main edifice of the Academy was erected in 1836 at the Ludovica Garden, in the centrally located VIIIth district. The building was designed by Mihály Pollack in the classical style.
Erkel Theatre
The Erkel Theatre was a theatre in Budapest, Hungary. Being the largest public building in the city for decades (and the largest theatre in the city), it was made part of the Hungarian State Opera House in 1951. The building was closed in 7 June 2007, and is slated for demolition, but no concrete decision had been made of its replacement.
Ludwig Thallóczy
