Semmelweis University
Founded in 1769, Semmelweis University is the oldest medical school in Hungary. The faculty became an independent medical school after the Second World War and developed into a university teaching medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences, health management as well as physical education and sport sciences. The university is named after Ignác Semmelweis (1818-1865), the obstetrician who discovered the cause of puerperal fever in the 1840s.

Corvin-negyed (Budapest Metro)
Corvin-negyed is a station on the M3 (North-South) line of the Budapest Metro. There is an exchange opportunity there for the 4-6 tram line.
Blaha Lujza tér (Budapest Metro)
Blaha Lujza tér is a station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It is a major transport junction. Tram number 4 and 6 (the boulevard lines, going south-west) stops here, also do Express Bus 7 (Piros 7), Bus 7 and Bus 173. The square is named after Lujza Blaha, an actress (1850–1926). The Hungarian National Theater was located on the square until 1964 when it was demolished (blown up actually) because of the subway construction.
Astoria, Budapest
Astoria is a major junction in Budapest city centre and a station of the M2 metro line. It is named after Grand Hotel Astoria at its corner. It is the crossing point of Rákóczi út and Small Boulevard. At its corner can be found the Humanities Faculty of the Eötvös Loránd University and the Hungarian National Museum beside it. Dohány Street Synagogue is located in the opposite direction, around 200 m far from this junction.

Budapest University of Jewish Studies
The Budapest University of Jewish Studies (Hungarian: Országos Rabbiképző – Zsidó Egyetem, or Országos Rabbiképző Intézet / Jewish Theological Seminary – University of Jewish Studies / German: Landesrabbinerschule in Budapest) is a university in Budapest, Hungary. It was opened in 1877, a few decades after the first European rabbinical seminiaries had been built in Padua, Metz, Paris and Breslau. Still, it remains the oldest existing institution in the world where rabbis are graduated.
Great Market Hall (Budapest)
The Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall, on Fővám Tér in the 9th district, is the largest indoor market in Budapest. It was designed and built by Samu Pecz around 1896. The market offers a huge variety of stalls on three floors. A distinctive architectural feature is the roof which was restored to have colorful Zsolnay tiling. Most of the stalls on the ground floor offer produce, meats, pastries, candies, spices, and spirits such as paprika, tokaji, túró rudi, and caviar.
Dohány Street Synagogue
The Dohány Street Synagogue, also known as The Great Synagogue or Tabakgasse Synagogue, is located in Erzsébetváros, the 7th district of Budapest. It is the largest synagogue in Europe and the fifth largest in the world. It seats 3,000 people and is a centre of Neolog Judaism. The synagogue was built between 1854 and 1859 in the Moorish Revival style, with the decoration based chiefly on Islamic models from North Africa and medieval Spain.
Hungarian National Museum
The Hungarian National Museum is the national museum of Hungary. The museum building is in Budapest VIII and was built in the Classical style 1837-47 by the architect Mihály Pollack.
Kálvin tér (Budapest Metro)
Kálvin tér (Kálvin Square) is a station on the M3 (North-South) line of the Budapest Metro. It is located on the borders of District V, District VIII, and District IX, under Kálvin Square. The station is one of the busiest on the line, and is also the deepest. The station has provisions dating from its design to accommodate direct transfer to the future Southwest-Northeast M4 line.

Erkel Theatre
The Erkel Theatre was a theatre in Budapest, Hungary. Being the largest public building in the city for decades (and the largest theatre in the city), it was made part of the Hungarian State Opera House in 1951. The building was closed in 7 June 2007, and is slated for demolition, but no concrete decision had been made of its replacement.
