Plaka
Pláka is the old historical neighborhood of Athens, clustered around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, and incorporating labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. Plaka is built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens. It is known as the "Neighbourhood of the Gods" due to its proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites.

Syntagma Square
Syntagma Square (English: Constitution Square) (sometimes spelled 'Syndagma Square'), is a town square located in central Athens, Greece. The Square is named after the Constitution that King Otto was obliged to grant, after a popular and military uprising on September 3, 1843. It is the oldest and socially most important square of modern Athens, at the epicentre of commercial activity during the nineteenth century.
Syntagma metro station
The Syntagma station of Attiko Metro is located at Syntagma Square in the centre of Athens, Greece. It serves as a transfer point to the Blue Line (Line 3) with the Red Line (Line 2). It also serves as a connection point to the Athens Tram. When the Metro first opened, the station was the terminal station for both the new lines. It is a transportation hub for E. TH.E.L. buses, for the Tram as well as for taxi. It has the most passengers of all the Athens Metro Stations.

Hellenic Parliament
The Hellenic Parliament (Greek: Βουλή των Ελλήνων; Parliament of the Hellenes; transliterated Vouli ton Ellinon), is the Parliament of Greece, located in the Parliament House (Old Royal Palace), overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens, Greece. The Parliament is the supreme democratic institution that represents the citizens through an elected body of Members of Parliament (MPs). It is a unicameral legislature of 300 members, elected for a four-year term.
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greek: Εθνικόν και Καποδιστριακόν Πανεπιστήμιον Αθηνών), usually referred to simply as the University of Athens, has been in continuous operation since its establishment in 1837. Presently, it is the second-largest university in Greece, with more than fifty thousand undergraduate students. It is ranked between 501st-550th in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2012.
Panepistimiou Street
Panepistimiou Street (named after the University of Athens the central building of which is on the upper corner) is a major street in Athens that runs one way for non-transit vehicles since 2002 from Amalias Avenue, Syntagma Square and Vassilissis Sofias Avenue to Omonoia Square in which is now a pedestrian crossing and before an intersection. Its total length is about 1.2 km.
Voukourestiou Street
Voukourestiou Street named after the Treaty of Bucharest, which in 1913 ended the second Balkan War, is a rather narrow street in the Kolonaki district of Athens known for its high-end boutiques. Starting in the 1950s, this street was the street for hip and trendy European and American goods in the Greek capital as well as gold and jewellery shops. Running from Panepistimiou Street to the slope of Mt. Lycabettus, the street epitomized fancy shopping in Greece for generations.
Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens
The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation (Greek: Καθεδρικός Ναός Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου) popularly known as the "Mētrópolis", is the cathedral church of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece. Construction of the Cathedral began on Christmas Day, 1842 with the laying of the cornerstone by King Otto and Queen Amalia. Workers used marble from 72 demolished churches to build the Cathedral's immense walls. Three architects and 20 years later, it was complete.
Old Parliament House, Athens
The Old Parliament building (Greek: Παλαιά Βουλή, Paleá Voulí) at Stadiou Street in Athens, housed the Greek Parliament between 1875 and 1932. It now houses the country's National Historical Museum (Εθνικό Ιστορικό Μουσείο, Ethnikó Istorikó Mouseío).
Numismatic Museum of Athens
The Numismatic Museum in Athens is one of the most important museums of Greece and houses one of the greatest collections of coins, ancient and modern, in the world. Agios Eleftherios Church, Athens
The Agios Eleftherios church, also known as Mikri Mitropoli ("little metropolitan church") or Panagia Gorgoepikoos is a Byzantine-era church located at the Mitropolis square, next to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens (Megali Mitropoli). Michael Choniates, the bishop of Athens, ordered the construction at the start of the 13th century.

Museum of the City of Athens Vouros - Eutaxias is a museum in Athens, Greece. It houses a collection of a variety of Athens-related items collected by art collector Lambros Eutaxias (1905-1996). It includes antiquities, Byzantine art, sculptures, paintings, drawings, photographs and metal, glass and textile works. Also it includes furniture arranged in typical living rooms of the Athenian aristocracy of the 19th century.

Museum of Greek Folk Art
The Museum of Greek Folk Art is a museum in Athens, Greece. The museum was founded in 1918 as the Museum of Greek Handicrafts in the Tsisdarakis Mosque in Monastiraki, which later became the National Museum of Decorative Arts and in 1959 it obtained its current name. In 1973 the most of the collection and the main functions of the museum were moved to 17 Kydanthinaion Str. in Plaka and the mosque was annexed to it.

It was inaugurated by the former Minister of Culture, Melina Mercouri, in 1988 and is part of the Lyceum of Hellenic women, a non profit society founded in 1910. Old Royal Palace
The Old Royal Palace is the former royal palace in Athens, Greece. The palace faces onto the Syntagma Square and now houses the Hellenic Parliament. The palace was designed by Friedrich von Gärtner for King Óthon of Greece and was completed in 1843. As it served originally as a palace for the Greek monarchs, it is sometimes still referred to as the "Old Palace". After suffering fire damage in 1909, it entered a long period of renovation.
University of Indianapolis – Athens Campus
The University of Indianapolis – Athens Campus is the European branch campus of the University of Indianapolis. The university, popularly known as UIndy Athens, is located under the shadow of the Acropolis, in the historic Plaka neighborhood of central Athens.
