Delitzsch (district)
Delitzsch is a former district in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It was bounded by (from the east and clockwise) the districts of Torgau-Oschatz and Muldentalkreis, the city of Leipzig, the district of Leipziger Land and the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Leipzig Zoological Garden
The Leipzig Zoological Garden, or the Leipzig Zoo, was opened in Leipzig, Germany on June 9, 1878. It was taken over by the city of Leipzig in 1920 after World War I and now covers about 225,000 square metres and contains more than 2,000 animals of 500 different species. The zoo is internationally noted for its large carnivore exhibit. It has bred more than 2,000 lions, 250 rare Siberian tigers, and other carnivores like bears.

The Games Convention, sometimes called the Leipzig Games Convention and abbreviated as GC, was an annual video game event held in Leipzig, Germany, first held in 2002. Besides video games, the event also covers Infotainment, Hardware, and Edutainment. Its concept was created by the Leipziger Messe (Leipzig Fair) in cooperation with Bundesverband für Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware (German Federal Association for Entertainment Software) amongst others.

With Full Force is a metal, hardcore and punk festival held annually in Germany since 1994. The 2011 edition took place between July 1 and July 3 at the Roitzschjora airport in Löbnitz near Leipzig in the Saxon county of Delitzsch.
Leipzig Central Station
Leipzig Central Station (Leipzig Hauptbahnhof) is, at 83,460 m², the world's largest railway station when measured by floor area. It has 24 platforms housed in six iron trainsheds; a multi-level concourse with towering stone arches; and a 293 metre-long facade. It handles an average of 120,000 passengers per day. The station was opened in 1915 as a joint terminal for the Royal Saxon State Railways and the Prussian state railways.

Seehausen, Leipzig
Seehausen is a northern district of Leipzig. In its district lies the new fairgrounds for the city. Including its villages and hamlets, Seehausen has 1967 residents (1997). The district includes the village with the land on which the new Leipzig fairgrounds and exhibition grounds are located (known as Sachsenpark), and the hamlets of Göbschelwitz, Hohenheida, Gottscheina and Neblitz.

Today it is part of the Grassi Museum, an institution which also includes the Museum of Applied Arts and the Museum of Musical Instruments, based in a large building on the Johannisplatz. The Leipzig Museum of Ethnography is one of three museums in the Saxonian State Ethnographical Collections which belong to the Dresden State Art Collections.

The Museum of Musical Instruments of the University of Leipzig (German: Museum für Musikinstrumente der Universität Leipzig) is a museum in Leipzig, Germany. It is located on Johannisplatz, near the city centre. The museum belongs to the University of Leipzig and is also part of the Grassi Museum, whose other members are the Museum of Ethnography and the Museum of Applied Arts. It is one of the largest music instrument museums in Europe, alongside those of Brussels and of Paris.

Hugo Schneider AG
Hugo Schneider AG (HASAG) was a small German metal goods manufacturer founded in 1863. Leipzig City Tunnel
The City Tunnel is a railway tunnel under construction for the city-centre S-Bahn in Leipzig with two tunnels with one track in each direction. It will link the Central Station with the two km distant Bayerischer Bahnhof (which is closed for the construction period). Construction began in July 2003. In March 2008, the first tube was structurally completed, the second in October 2008. The tunnel for the trains should be ready for the timetable change in December 2013.
Leipzig Jewish community
History[edit] Leipzig has historically been a centre for Jews. Already in the 1250s there is mention of Jewish life in Leipzig. Its central location attracted Jewish traders from all over Europe to the Trade Fair. However, the Jewish community as an officially state-recognised organisation was established only in 1847 and only by then Jews were allowed to settle in Leipzig without any restrictions.
