Ruhr University Bochum

Ruhr University Bochum (German Ruhr-Universität Bochum, RUB), located on the southern hills of central Ruhr area Bochum, was founded in 1962 as the first new public university in Germany since World War II. Instruction began in 1965. Herbede

Since 1975 the former city of Herbede is a part of the city of Witten. As one of the eight boroughs of Witten it now calls Witten-Herbede. Before the incorporation with Witten in 1975 Herbede has been a city in the administrative district Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. He charged Truchsess Ludolf von Bönen to set up Blankenstein. Beginning in 1227, the castle was ready in 1243, but built over the course of 200 years by the Counts of the Mark. In 1425 Blankenstein is one of the most important castles in the county.

Graf-Engelbert-Schule

Graf-Engelbert School is an urban high school for boys and girls in Bochum, Germany. Near the center of the city and the tree-lined Königsallee, it is located on Else-Hirsch-Straße.
