Starnberg (district)
Starnberg is a Kreis (district) in the southern part of Bavaria, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Fürstenfeldbruck, Munich, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Weilheim-Schongau and Landsberg. Starnberg and the Hochtaunuskreis regularly compete for the title of Germany's wealthiest district.

Wolfratshausen is a town of the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, located in Bavaria, Germany. The town had a population of 17,118 as of 31 December 2003.
Loisach
The Loisach is a river that flows through Tyrol, Austria and Bavaria, Germany. Its name is Celtic in origin, from Proto-Celtic *lawo and *iskā, both of which mean "water. " The Loisach is a 114 km long left tributary to the Isar. The source of the Loisach is near Ehrwald in Austria. The Loisach flows past Garmisch-Partenkirchen and into the Kochelsee. At the Kochelsee the water that was diverted from the upper river Isar for power generation at the Walcheseekraftwerk joins the Loisach.
Bichl
Bichl is a municipality in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen in Bavaria, Germany. It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:47|43|N|11|25|E|region:DE_type:city(2000)|| | |name= }}, and has about 2000 residents. The village first appears in documents from 1048. The name "Bichl" refers to hill upon which the village church, St. George, stands. The church was built by Johann Michael Fischer.
Lake Starnberg
Lake Starnberg — called Lake Würm (German Würmsee) until 1962, and also known as Fürstensee — is Germany's fifth largest freshwater lake in terms of area and, due to its great average depth, the second largest in terms of water volume. The lake and its surroundings are an unincorporated area within the rural district of Starnberg; the lake itself is the property of the state of Bavaria and is administered by the Bavarian Administration of State-Owned Palaces, Gardens and Lakes.
Föhrenwald
The Föhrenwald Displaced Persons camp was one of the largest DP camps in post-World War II Europe and the last to close (in 1957). It was located in the section now known as Waldram in Wolfratshausen in Bavaria, Germany. The camp facilities were originally built by Nazi authorities in 1939 to house construction workers of the IG Farben concern, then was populated by slave laborers during the war.
Feldafing displaced persons camp
Feldafing displaced persons camp in Bavaria was the first DP camp exclusively for use by liberated Jewish concentration camp prisoners. It was later used by Jewish refugees from the Russian controlled Jewish areas. The camp was located in Feldafing's Hoehenberg area and beyond.

Rose Island (Lake Starnberg)
Rose Island in Lake Starnberg is the only island in the lake and site of a royal villa of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. He was particularly attached to this place and made frequent renovations and remodelings of the small garden and the villa, which is called casino. Museum der Phantasie
The Museum der Phantasie (aka. Buchheim-Museum) is a museum in Bernried am Starnberger See. Named after Lothar-Günther Buchheim, whose art collection it holds, it was opened to the public on 23 May 2001. The building, designed by the architectural firm Behnisch, Behnisch & Partner, was completed in October 1999. It encompasses around 4,000 square meters and is designed to resemble a ship, with a jetty-like balcony extending out over the Starnberger See.

Wolfratshausen station
Wolfratshausen station is a station of the Munich S-Bahn. It is located in the Upper Bavarian town of Wolfratshausen in Germany. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. It has two platform tracks next to a central platform. The station is located in the network area of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (Munich Transport and Tariff Association, MVV) and is served by line 7 of the S-Bahn, which is operated by Deutsche Bahn.
