Tübingen is a district in the middle of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Böblingen, Reutlingen, Zollernalbkreis and Freudenstadt.
University of Tübingen
Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen (German: Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen) is one of Germany's 11 federally designated Elite Universities. The university is located in the city of Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg. It is one of Germany's most famous and oldest universities, internationally noted in medicine, theology, natural sciences and the humanities. Currently, around 22,000 students are enrolled.
Tübinger Stift
The Tübinger Stift is a hall of residence and teaching; it is owned and supported by the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Württemberg, and located in the university city of Tübingen, in South West Germany. The Stift was originally founded as an Augustinian monastery in the Middle Ages. After the Reformation, in 1536, Duke Ulrich turned the Stift into a seminary which served to prepare Protestant pastors for Württemberg.
Bebenhausen
Bebenhausen is a village (pop. 347) in the Tübingen district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Since 1974 it is a district of the city of Tübingen, its smallest one. It is located 3 km north of Tübingen proper (about 5 km northeast of the city centre), in the southeastern part of the protected landscape of the Schönbuch, a dense forest. It is located on Route 464 connecting Böblingen and Tübingen. It was founded in 1183 by Pfalzgraf Rudolf von Tübingen.
Lustnau
Lustnau is a subdivision of Tübingen. It became a part of Tübingen in 1934. Its present population is around 10,000 and the area is 1.43 km² and is the largest subdivision in Tübingen. Lustnau has four kindergartens, a Grundschule and a Hauptschule.
Wanne
Wanne is a residential area in the northern outskirts of the city of Tübingen, Germany. Beyond Wanne extends the vast state nature protection area of the Schönbuch. It is situated on a slope facing south and is very popular with people working at the Morgenstelle, a large complex of university buildings on the opposite slope, or at the cluster of university hospitals that extend further south of these buildings.

Württemberg-Hohenzollern was a West German state created in 1945 as part of the French post-World War II occupation zone. Its capital was Tübingen. In 1952, it was merged into the newly founded state of Baden-Württemberg.
Pfrondorf
Pfrondorf is part of the city of Tübingen and the district of Tübingen within the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It located just at the north-western edge of the city, about 6 km from the city centre. It lies at the edge of the Schönbuch natural park on a hill. The village has a magnificent view over the nearby mountains of the Schwäbische Alb, the Hohenzollern Castle. Pfrondorf lies 424m above sea level. It has 3,300 inhabitants (2005 est.).

Bebenhausen Abbey
Bebenhausen Abbey was a Cistercian monastery located in the village of Bebenhausen (now a district of Tübingen), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was built by Rudolph I, Count Palatine of Tübingen, probably in 1183. After the Reformation the abbey buildings were used at various times as a school, a hunting palace for the kings of Württemberg and the legislative assembly of the State of Württemberg-Hohenzollern.
Alter Botanischer Garten Tübingen
The Alter Botanischer Garten Tübingen is the former botanical garden of the University of Tübingen, now a municipal park. It is located at Am Stadtgraben 9, Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and open daily without charge. The garden traces back to 1535 when medicinal plants were first grown by Leonhart Fuchs (1501-1566) beside the Nonnenhaus (House of the Nuns), which still exists.

The Steinlach is a small river with a length of 22 km in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a tributary to the Neckar. It has its source in the Eckenbachgraben, a gap in the Swabian Alb mountain range. The source is on the territory of the town of Mössingen, on a height of 700 m above sea level. The Steinlach flows into a northerly direction. After taking up several streams outside of Mössingen, it flows through Ofterdingen, Nehren and Dußlingen to Tübingen, where it discharges into the Neckar.
