Katajanokka
Katajanokka is a neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland, with around 4000 inhabitants in 2005. The district is located adjacent to the immediate downtown area, though in the first major town plan for Helsinki from the mid-18th century, the area fell outside the fortifications planned to encircle the city. Originally, it was a headland of the Helsinki peninsula but is now technically an island, as a small canal was dug across the base of the headland in the 19th century.

Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture (Finnish: Aalto-yliopiston taiteiden ja suunnittelun korkeakoulu; Swedish: Aalto-universitetets högskola för konst, design och arkitektur), was formed of two separate schools: the faculty of architecture (previously part of the Helsinki University of Technology) and TaiK. TaiK was the largest art university in the Nordic countries, and was founded in 1871.
Korkeasaari
Korkeasaari is an island in Helsinki, Finland where the country's biggest zoo is situated. The English name of the zoo is Helsinki Zoo. The zoo is located on a 22-hectare rocky island. It's connected to mainland via a bridge to Mustikkamaa, where there is access to the zoo all year round. A ferry and water buses take visitors to the island summertime from Kauppatori and Hakaniemi. Korkeasaari is one of the most popular places among visitors in Helsinki.
Arabianranta
Arabianranta or Arabiastranden ("coast of Arabia") is a fast growing residential part of Helsinki, Finland. It is bound by Vanhankaupunginlahti bay from east, and connects to neighboring boroughs of Vanhakaupunki in north, Hermanni in south and Toukola and Kumpula in west. Officially it is part of the greater Toukola region. On the other side of the bay lies a popular natural reserve, Viikki.

Kulosaari or Brändö is a ground-level station on the Helsinki Metro. It serves the island district of Kulosaari in East Helsinki. The station was one of the first metro stations opened in Helsinki, on 1 June 1982, and was designed by Jaakko Ylinen and Jarmo Maunula. It is located 1.8 kilometres from Kalasatama metro station, and 1.4 kilometres from Herttoniemi metro station.

Herttoniemi or Hertonäs is a ground-level station on the Helsinki Metro. It serves the district of Herttoniemi in East Helsinki. The station was one of the first metro stations opened in Helsinki, on 1 June 1982, and was designed by Jaakko Ylinen and Jarmo Maunula. It is located 1.4 kilometres from the Kulosaari metro station, and 1.4 kilometres from the Siilitie metro station.
Kulosaari
Kulosaari is an island and a suburb in Helsinki, Finland. It is also the 42nd neighbourhood of the city. Construction of villas on the island started in the beginning of the 20th century, and a bridge from Sörnäinen was opened in 1919. Kulosaari was an independent municipality since 1922 until 1946, when it was merged to Helsinki. Trams served the island from 1910 to 1951 – before the first bridge was completed, ferries were used to transport the trams.
Siilitie
Siilitie, literally "Hedgehog Road", is a road in the suburb of Herttoniemi in eastern Helsinki, Finland. The surrounding district and its metro station are also named Siilitie, according to the road. The metro station is one of the original stations of the Helsinki Metro. Most of the low-rise apartment blocks in Siilitie district were built in the 1950s, but a few taller buildings as well were erected in the 1990s.
Sörnäinen
Sörnäinen is a neighbourhood in the city of Helsinki, Finland. Sörnäinen is located a little more than one kilometre north from the coastal centre of Helsinki, near the district of Hakaniemi. The east side of Sörnäinen borders the sea. Sörnäinen is primarily an industrial district, with many shipping companies and warehouses. It also has two metro stations within it; Sörnäinen metro station and Kalasatama metro station.
Kalasatama metro station
Kalasatama or Fiskhamnen is a station on the Helsinki Metro, in the capital city of Finland. The station was opened on 1 January 2007, and it serves the eastern part of the central Helsinki district of Sörnäinen. The area is now mainly composed of offices, but new residential and commercial developments will be constructed in the area after the port facilities there moved to the new Port of Vuosaari in 2008.
Vanhakaupunki
Vanhakaupunki is a neighbourhood of the city of Helsinki, Finland, to the north of Toukola. The district's name (meaning "old town") is because Helsinki was originally founded at the Vanhakaupunki area. Vanhakaupunki even appears in the new Helsinki foundation document from 1639, and the forms Gamla staden or Gammelstaden went into common use later. In contrast, the Finnish translation of the name only started appearing in the late 19th century.

Toukola
Toukola is a district of Helsinki, Finland, around 4 km north of the town centre, at the port of Vanhankaupunginlahti. Toukola is part of the administrative region of Vanhakaupunki. The eldest part of the town consists mostly of wooden villas and small houses. Next to the sea, in later years, the new area of Arabianranta was built, with modern tower blocks. The population of Toukola is estimated to increase from 2,500 to over 10,000.

Vanhankaupunginselkä (also called Vanhankaupunginlahti, Swedish: Gammelstadsfjärden) is a bay area which together with parts of adjoining Viikki district constitute a natural conservation zone near downtown Helsinki in the southern part of Finland. The area is listed in Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance, is part of European Union's Natura 2000 program and is also listed as BirdLife International's Important Bird Area.

The Vantaa River is a 101-kilometre long river in Southern Finland. The river starts from the lake Erkylänjärvi in Hausjärvi and flows into the Gulf of Finland at Vanhankaupunginselkä in Helsinki. One of the tributaries of the Vantaa river is Keravanjoki that flows trough the town of Kerava north of Helsinki.

Sosiaalikeskus Satama
Sosiaalikeskus Satama (Harbor Social Center) was a social center in Helsinki, Finland, opened in April 2009. It was located 500 metres north of the Kalasatama metro station along the Kyläsaarenkatu street, in an old customs building in the central Helsinki district of Sörnäinen, left empty when the harbor operations moved to the Vuosaari Harbor (hence the name satama, harbor). The building had 360 square metres in three stories.

Guggenheim Helsinki –Plan
Guggenheim Helsinki –Plan describes the initiative to establish a Guggenheim Helsinki Museum in Finland, which was initially announced in January 2011. Helsinki City Council rejected Guggenheim Helsinki –Plan on May 2, 2012. According to a survey of Helsingin Sanomat 3/4 of citizens opposed the project in Helsinki and 82% of citizens in Vantaa. A debate with heated undertones was waged among local political and culture political activists against the project.
