Kamppi is a neighbourhood in the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Eira is a neighborhood in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The district dates back to the early 20th century and received its name after Eira Hospital in the neighboring district of Ullanlinna, which in turn took its name from Eira Hospital in Stockholm, which was named after Eir, the old Scandinavian goddess of healing. Eira is located south from the city centre. The neighbourhood has some of the most expensive and sought-after old apartments, built in jugend style.

Punavuori

Punavuori is a neighbourhood in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. After the new location and growth of Helsinki in the 18th century, Punavuori became the area next to the center. During the 19th century the district had a seedy reputation. Most of the brothels and beerhouses were found in Punavuori. The social problems were aggravated by quickly built rent-apartments for the poor. After World War II, the district went through a process of gentrification.

Eurovision Song Contest 2007

The Eurovision Song Contest 2007 was the 52nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It was won by first-time appearance as an independent country Serbia and was held at the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland from 10 May to 12 May. The host broadcaster was YLE. Finland earned the right to host the event after heavy metal band Lordi's victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. It was the first time the Contest had been held in Finland.

Nosturi

Nosturi is a culture and music hall and a nightclub in the Punavuori district of Helsinki, Finland. It is owned by the Association of Live Music (Elävän musiikin yhdistys, ELMU). The hall is located at the seaside in Hietalahti next to the Helsinki New Shipyard in an old cargo terminal building. It gets its name from the old crane (Hietalahti crane number 6) located right next to it. Many popular live music festivals are held at Nosturi throughout the year.

It is the largest stone church in Finland by seating capacity. The Museum of Finnish Architecture is an architectural museum in Helsinki, Finland. Established in 1956, it is the second oldest museum of its kind devoted specifically to architecture. Ullanlinna

Ullanlinna is the southern-most city district of Helsinki, in Finland. The name Ullanlinna (English: Ulla's fortification) refers to the fortification line that was built at the southern edge of the area during the 18th century (no longer visible), as part of the town fortifications, which also included the fortress of Suomenlinna. The name Ulla refers to the Swedish Queen Ulrika Eleonora (1688–1741).

Helsingfors Segelsällskap

Helsingfors Segelsällskap Yacht Club or HSS, is the second oldest yacht club in Helsinki, established in 1893. The yacht club has 1460 members and 350 mainly sail boats in the register. The club is located on Liuskasaari island in the middle of southern Helsinki. Liuskasaari is a few minutes ferry ride away from Merisatamanranta. HSS hosts a popular full service guest harbor for 20 boats. The club also has a substantial contingent of expat sailors residing in Helsinki.
