Eurovision Song Contest 2001
The Eurovision Song Contest 2001 was the 46th Eurovision Song Contest and was held on 12 May 2001 in the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was the first time in 36 years that Denmark hosted the Eurovision Song Contest, thanks to the Olsen Brothers' win the previous year in Stockholm. The Olsen Brothers Opened the show with a snippet from their winning song "Fly on the Wings of Love", followed by their latest single "Walk Right Back", which was already a smash hit in Denmark.
Parken Stadium
Parken Stadium (English: the Park) is a football stadium in the Indre Østerbro (Inner Østerbro) district of Copenhagen, Denmark, built from 1990–1992. It currently has a capacity of 38,065 for football games, and is the home ground of F.C. København and the Danish national football team. The capacity for concerts exceeds the capacity for matches – the stadium can hold as many as 50,000 people with an end-stage setup and 55,000 with a center-stage setup.

Indre Østerbro (lit. English, "Inner Østerbro"), is one of the 15 administrative, statistical, and tax city districts ("bydele") comprising the municipality of Copenhagen, Denmark. It lies on the eastern edge of the municipality. It covers an area of 6.76 km², has a population of 46,095 and a population density of 6,817 per km².
Østerbro
Østerbro is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located just north of the city centre, outside the old city gate Østerport which, after it was moved around 1700, used to be located close to present-day Østerport Station. From the beginning, Østerbro has been a wealthy district, and it remains one of the most affluent areas in Copenhagen.

Københavns Idrætspark, in daily use Idrætsparken, also known as Parken, was a multi-purpose stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was initially used as the stadium of Denmark national football team and Kjøbenhavns Boldklub. It was replaced by the Parken Stadium in 1992. The capacity of the stadium was 52,377 spectators. From 1911 to 1990, the Danish national team played 232 games at Idrætsparken, winning 125 games and losing 66.

Østerbro Stadium
Østerbro Stadium is a combined football and athletics stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the home of the football clubs Boldklubben af 1893 and BK Skjold and it is also the home stadium of the athletics clubs Københavns Idræts Forening and Sparta. It has a capacity of approximately 7,000. The stadium is currently being renovated, to meet the demands from the Danish Football Association. The field will be made both longer and wider and a new track will be laid for athletics.
Parken Arena
A new arena built next to Parken Stadium in Copenhagen was expected to be completed by December 2010. Due to the financial crisis and a bad annual result in 2009, Parken Sport & Entertainment chose to abolish the project. The arena was designed by Hou + Partnere Arkitekter. The arena was first named after the financial group Capinordic, but the company withdrew their sponsorship in January 2010.
Øster Gasværk Teater
Østre Gasværk Teater is a theatre in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark, located in an abandoned gasometer of the former Øster Gasværk . The theatre is constructed within the masonry shell that used to house the gas holder proper. Built in 1883, it was designed by Martin Nyrop, also known for the design of the Copenhagen City Hall.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, more commonly known as the Danish Design School is an institution of higher education in Copenhagen, Denmark, offering a five-year design education consisting of a three-year Bachelor programme and a two-year Master in design as well as conducting research within the fields of arts, crafts and design. Danmarks Designskole is an institution under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education.
Danish Society for Nature Conservation
The Danish Society for Nature Conservation, in Danish Danmarks Naturfredningsforening, founded 1911, is an incorporated non-governmental organization based in Denmark. It works for environmental protection and biodiversity, improved environmental legislation, consideration for the natural environment in public planning, and public access to natural resources. The Society is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Financial Supervisory Authority (Denmark)
The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) is the financial regulatory authority of the Danish government responsible for the regulation of financial markets in Denmark. Finanstilsynet is part of the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs and also acts as secretariat for the Financial Business Council, the Danish Securities Council and the Money and Pension Panel.
Rolighed
Rolighed was a country house in what is now the Østerbro district of Copenhagen. As a regular guest of the Melchior family, Hans Christian Andersen died there in August 1875.
Brumleby
Brumleby is an enclave of terraced houses in Copenhagen, Denmark, located between Østre Allé and Østerbrogade, just south of Parken Stadium and St. James' Church. Built for indigent workers by the Danish Medical Association from 1854 to 1872, it is one of the earliest examples of social housing in Denmark and became a model for later projects. The development was designed by Michael Gottlieb Bindesbøll and Vilhelm Klein in Neoclassical style.
Østerbrogade
Østerbrogade is the principal shopping street and thoroughfare in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It extends from Lille Trianglen at the north-eastern tip of The Lakes, passes Trianglen, and continues to Svanemøllen station from where it becomes Strandvejen.
Svanemølle Beach
Svanemølle Beach (Svanemøllestranden in Danish) is Denmark's newest beach. It was opened on June 20, 2010 in the Svanemølle Bay in Østerbro in Copenhagen. Designed by the Swedish architects White Arkitekter, Thing and Wainøe Landskab and Rambøll, it provides 4,000 square metres of beach with family-friendly low waters as well as a 130 metre long pier providing direct access to deeper water. The man-made beach sits in between Tuborg's white housing blocks and Svanemølleværket.
Freemasons' Hall, Copenhagen

Victor Borges Plads
Victor Borges Plads is a public square in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on Nordre Frihavnsgade, roughly halfway between Trianglen and Strandboulevarden, and has several restaurants and cafés with outdoor service. The square is named after Victor Borge, who was born in nearby Classensgade. Previously known informally as Hjertepladsen ("Heart Square"), it received its current name in October 2002, following Borge´s death on 23 December 2000.
Paustian House
Paustian House is a large furniture showroom located on the waterfront in Copenhagen. Completed in 1987, it is one of the most notable works in Denmark by prize-winning architect Jørn Utzon, who also designed the Sydney Opera House. Utzon's son Kim designed two adjacent buildings which were completed in 2000.
Østerfælled Barracks
Østerfælled Barracks, later known as Østerbrogade Kaserne, was a barracks originally built in the 1890s for the Guard Hussars of the Royal Danish Army in the emerging Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Its grounds have now been transformed into a mixed-use development surrounding a pedestrian zone and is now known as Østerfælled Torv. Many of the old buildings have been retained while others have been demolished to make way for new residential buildings.
Sankt Jakobs Plads
Sankt Jakobs Plads is a public square located off the east side of Østerbrogade in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It takes its name after St. James' Church (Sankt Jakobs Kirke) on the other side of the street.
