South Moravian Region
The South Moravian Region is an administrative unit (kraj) of the Czech Republic, located in the south-western part of its historical region of Moravia, with exception of Jobova Lhota, that belongs to Bohemia. Its capital is Brno the 2nd largest city of the Czech Republic. The region is famous for its wine production. The area around the towns of Mikulov, Znojmo, Velké Pavlovice along with the Slovácko region provide 94% of the Czech Republic's vineyards.
The Masaryk circuit or Masarykring, now referred to as the Brno Circuit, refers to two motorsport race tracks located close to the city of Brno, Czech Republic The original street circuit was made up of public roads, and at its longest measured nearly 19 miles . In the 1930s, events such as the Masaryk Grand Prix attracted top teams and drivers. Racing on the roads ended after 1986, when the current permanent circuit was opened within the bounds of the original roads.

St Thomas's Abbey is a church located in Brno in the Czech Republic. Starobrno Brewery is a Czech brewery located in the city of Brno. It was built as a successor of the brewery founded in 1325, as a part of Cistercian convent. The brewery was named Starobrno Brewery only in the second half of the 19th century. In 2009, Starobrno Brewery produced more than one million hectoliters of beer. The same year, the brewery merged with the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and became a part of the Dutch brewing company Heineken.
Semilasso is the nom-de-plume adopted by Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau (1785–1871), a famous German traveller and landscape gardener, for his autobiographical travel books. It is also the name of a Cultural Centre in the Královo pole district of Brno, Czech Republic, which takes its name from the former public house "U semilassa", once known as the "Schaffgotschův hostinec", which was renamed about 1836 in tribute to Pückler-Muskau.
