Technical University of Ostrava
The Technical University of Ostrava (or Vysoká škola báňská – Technická univerzita Ostrava in Czech), is a university located in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. The institution was founded on 23 January 1849 as the Mining Academy in Příbram. In 1894 it was promoted to university status and in 1904 it was renamed to Vysoká škola báňská. In 1945 it was moved to Ostrava, then the centre of Czechoslovak mining industry.

Děhylov is a village in the Opava District, Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated on the Opava River, among Martinov, Dobroslavice and Hlučín on the railway line between Opava and Ostrava. The village has around 700 inhabitants. It covers area about 5,07 km. Svinov
Svinov is an administrative district of the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. It lies on the bank of the Odra River, in the Silesian area of the city. The district lies in the historical region of Silesia and was first mentioned in a written document in 1265. In 1847 a railway station was built there and Svinov became an important railway junction on the Austrian Northern Railway. Quick industrialization followed and several transport companies were established.

It lies in the historical region of Silesia and was first mentioned in a written document in 1377. Heavy industrialization of Ostrava in the second half of the 19th century didn't have major impact on Poruba which retained its agricultural character. Several factories were built here at the beginning of the 20th century.

The village was first mentioned in a written document in 1424 as Myrtynow and lies in the historical region of Silesia. Martinov has an agricultural character and has a population of 1,131. The village was administratively joined to Ostrava in July 1961, after that the large food-processing plant was constructed there.
