Presidential Palace, Nicosia
The Presidential Palace (Greek: Προεδρικό Μέγαρο Proedrikó Mégaro Turkish: Başkanlık Sarayı) is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the Republic of Cyprus. It is located close to the centre of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, and is surrounded by a thick pine woodland.
Central Bank of Cyprus
The Central Bank of Cyprus (Greek: Kεντρική Τράπεζα της Κύπρου Turkish: Kıbrıs Merkez Bankası), is the central bank of the Republic of Cyprus, located in Nicosia. It was established in 1963. Its current governor is Prof. Panicos O. Demetriades. The bank issued Cypriot pound banknotes and coins prior to 2008, when Cyprus adopted the euro.
Ledra Palace Hotel
The Ledra Palace Hotel is located in central Nicosia, Cyprus, and until 1974 was one of the largest and most glamorous hotels of the capital. The hotel was designed by the architect Ginsberg and was built in 1949 on what was then called King Edward VII Street now Markos Drakos Avenue. It had 163 bedrooms and 258 beds, officially rated as de luxe. All rooms had hot and cold water, central heating and a telephone. Facilities included a conference, reading, bridge and ballroom with orchestra.
Arabahmet Mosque
Arabahmet Mosque is situated in the city of Nicosia in the northern part of Cyprus. It was built in the late 16th century. The Mosque is named after a commander of the 1571 Ottoman army. The mosque is the tombs of some important persons of the past in its garden.
Haydarpasha Mosque
Haydarpasha Mosque or St. Catherine’s Parish Church in Nicosia was originally built by the Lusignans in the 14th century. It has been described by Harry Charles Luke as representing one of the finest examples of Gothic buildings on the island. It was converted to a mosque (the Haydarpasha Mosque) during the Ottoman occupation of the island. More recently it has been a marriage registration office and is currently an art gallery.
Nicosia Old General Hospital
Nicosia Old General Hospital was the main hospital of Nicosia, Cyprus from 1936 to 2006. In 2006, its patients were transferred to the Nicosia New General Hospital, and it was demolished in 2010 amidst some controversy over whether it should have been preserved. The decision for erecting a purpose built general hospital in Nicosia was taken during the British colonial administration of Cyprus in 1936. It was inaugurated on 14 April 1939 by the then British governor Richard Palmer.
Central Jail of Nicosia
The Central Jail of Nicosia is the only correctional facility in Cyprus and it is run by the Cyprus Prisons Department. It is located to the west of the walled part of the Cypriot city of Nicosia, south of the Green Line. In the facility are detained convicted and unconvicted prisoners of both sexes and of all age groups from 16 years and over.

Nicosia Atatürk Stadium (Turkish: Lefkoşa Atatürk Stadı) is a multi-purpose stadium in the North Nicosia, Cyprus. It is currently used mostly for football matches and hosted some matches for the 2006 ELF Cup. It also serves as the home of Çetinkaya Türk S.K. of the Birinci Lig. The stadium holds 28,000 people.
Faneromeni School
Faneromeni School, founded by Archbishop Makarios I in 1857, was the first all-girls school in Cyprus. The founder of the School, Archbishop Makarios I, was instrumental in the establishment of many other schools throughout the island of Cyprus in order to combat illiteracy. The School is located in the historical Faneromeni Square, situated in the centre of the capital and within the Venetian medieval walls of Nicosia.
Cyprus Museum
The Cyprus Museum (also known as the Cyprus Archaeological Museum) is the oldest and largest archaeological museum in Cyprus. The museum houses artefacts discovered during numerous excavations on the island. The museum is home to the most extensive collection of Cypriot antiquities in the world and is located on Museum Street in central Nicosia. Its history goes hand in hand with the course of modern archaeology (and the Department of Antiquities) in Cyprus.
Eleftheria square
Eleftheria square, is the main square in central Nicosia, Cyprus. It forms the intersection of Ledra and Onasagorou streets with Stasinou, Omirou, Kostaki Pantelidi, Konstandinou Palaiologou and Evagorou avenues. Prior to 1974 the centre of city was considered to be Faneromeni Square.

Imprisoned Graves
The "Imprisoned Graves" is a small cemetery located in the Central Jail of Nicosia, where 13 EOKA fighters, during the 1955-1959 liberation struggle for the liberation of Cyprus from the United Kingdom, were interred. Nine of them were hanged by the British, three were killed in action and one died in hospital from his battle wounds. The tombs were built in an area adjacent to the cells of the condemned and close to the gallows where they would be executed.
Ledra Street
Ledra Street (Greek: Οδός Λήδρας Odos Lidras, Turkish: Lokmacı Caddesi) is a major shopping thoroughfare in central Nicosia, Cyprus, which links North and South Nicosia. It is the site of the former Ledra Street barricade where the street ran across the United Nations buffer zone. The barricade symbolised the division of Nicosia between the Greek south and Turkish north which was under the control of the unrecognised, self-declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Notre Dame de Tyre
Notre Dame de Tyre is a 14th century monastery in Nicosia, Cyprus. The existing building is gothic in style and consists of a square nave, with a semi-octagonal apse, cross vaults an arch covering the western part, a bell tower (built in 1860) and convent buildings to the north of the church. To the east of the nunnery buildings is the sarcophagus of Lady Dampierre, an Abbess of the nunnery. On the church floor are tombstones dating from the 14th and 15th centuries.

The Cyprus Police Museum is a museum in Cyprus, dedicated to the history of law enforcement in the country. It is owned by the Cyprus Police and managed by Department A' of the Police Headquarters. The Police Museum is open to the public from Monday to Friday between 0900-1300 and does not charge admission.
Büyük Han
Buyuk Han (the Great Inn) is the largest caravansarai on the island of Cyprus and is considered to be one of the finest buildings on the island. Located in North Nicosia, Northern Cyprus, it was built by the Ottomans in 1572, the year after they had seized Cyprus from the Venetians. In the centre of the open courtyard is a mosque with a fountain for pre-prayer ablutions. It became the first city prison under British administration but reverted in 1893 to a hostel for poor families.

Kyrenia Gate
The Kyrenia Gate is a gate in the Nicosia walls, in North Nicosia, Cyprus. It was the gate which was used for transport to the northern areas, especially Kyrenia. The gate was built in 1567 by Venetians, as a part of the new city walls. It was restored by the Ottomans in 1821, and a lookout was added to the gate for a probable Greek revolt. Now, the gate is used as a tourism information office by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality.

Shacolas Tower
Shacolas Tower is completed highrise building located in the centre of old Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus in Ledra Street. It is currently the highest building in Nicosia. It is considered a hallmark of the city's old town. The first 5 floors are Debenhams department stores and the 6th floor is considered to be a cafeteria offering a panoramic view of the old city of Nicosia. The 11th floor is an observatory and a museum overlooking the whole capital.
Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios Mansion
The Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios Mansion is situated near the Archbishopric, in the neighbourhood of Saint Antonios in Nicosia, Cyprus, where the wealthy notables of the Greek community traditionally used to live.

It is the central bus station in Nicosia and it is estimated that over fifty thousand people pass from Solomos Square daily. Solomos square was remodelled in 2010 due to the initiative of former Mayor Eleni Mavrou .
Archbishop's Palace, Nicosia
Archbishop's Palace is the official residence and office of the archbishop of Cyprus located in Nicosia. The palace was built next to the "Old Archbishop's Palace" (built in the 17th century), between 1956 and 1960; in neo-Venetian architecture style. Although the palace is not open to the public; the Byzantine Museum, Library of the Archbishopric, Folk Art Museum and the National Struggle Museum located on its grounds are open to the public.
