House of Santander

The House of Santander is the place where the hero of the Colombian independence Francisco de Paula Santander lived his first 13 years. Historic church of Cúcuta

The Historic church of Cúcuta is in the locality of Villa del Rosario where Simón Bolívar, Francisco de Paula Santander and other important persons of the independence of Colombia and Venezuela reunited to sign the Constitution of Cúcuta on August 30 of 1821, which main target was the creation of one republic unifying New Granada (Colombia and Panama) and Venezuela. Later, Ecuador was integrated to the unification. Inside of it there is a statue of Simón Bolivar.
