Whampoa Military Academy
The Kuomintang Army Officer Academy, commonly known as the Whampoa Military Academy, was a military academy of the Republic of China (ROC) which produced many prestigious commanders who fought in many of China's conflicts in the 20th century, notably the Northern Expedition, the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War. The military academy was officially opened on May 1, 1924 under the Kuomintang (KMT), but the first lessons began on June 16, 1924.

Higher Education Mega Center North Station is a station of Line 4 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 26 December 2005. It is located at the underground of the north of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center, located on the Xiaoguwei Island in Xinzao Town, Panyu District. The station was previously called "Beiting Station" because of nearby Beiting Village on the island. But since May 2006, it changed name to Higher Education Mega Center North Station.

The station was previously called "Nanting Station" because of nearby Nanting Village on the island. But since May 2006, it changed name to Higher Education Mega Center South Station.
Changzhou Island

Changzhou Island, also called Danes Island by the westerners, is an island in Huangpu District at the mouth of the Pearl River in East Guangzhou. It is about 11.5 square kilometers, of which the land area is 8.5 square kilometers. Its western part is linked to Guangzhou University Town by a bridge.
