The complex was built in 1978 as part of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's initiative to see more federal workers based in the Quebec side of the Ottawa River. In 2002, about 75% of the region's high school graduates had been admitted to the institution. According to the CEGEP's website 3,970 students attended the college during the 2006-07 school year, and the population was expected to grow to 4,600 students by 2010 and it did.
Salaberry Armoury
The Salaberry Armoury (Manège militaire de Salaberry), is an historic armoury in Gatineau, Quebec, that is home to the armoured Régiment de Hull. The armoury was built in 1938, and was named after Colonel Charles de Salaberry, a hero of the War of 1812. It was one of a series of armouries built across Canada during the 1930s. Located just to the west of the Hull sector in downtown Gatineau, the armoury is a prominent local landmark.
Théâtre de l'Île
The Théâtre de l'Île (Theatre of the Island) is a small municipally run theatre in Gatineau, Quebec. It is located on a small island at the southern end of the Ruisseau de la Brasserie, a small river running just to the west of Montcalm Street. The building was originally constructed in 1886 as the Hull Water Works, at a time when the site was at the heart of a largely industrial area. In the subsequent decades the building served a number of different purposes.
Tour Eiffel Bridge
The Tour Eiffel Bridge, also known as the Montcalm Street Bridge is a small but ornate bridge in Gatineau, Quebec. There had long been a bridge across Brewery Creek, but by the 1980s it needed to be replaced. Hull and the National Capital Commission were working to turn the Brewery Creek area into a tourist and cultural district. It was decided to build an ornate structure.
Brewery Creek
Brewery Creek (Ruisseau de la Brasserie) is a small creek that forms the northern and western shores of Île Hull. It circles the downtown of the Hull sector, of Gatineau, Quebec. It runs into the Ottawa River just west of downtown Hull. Running west of Montcalm Street it turns east north of the highway, running up to Jacques Cartier Park where it rejoins the Ottawa River. Originally it was at the heart of Hull's industrial sector, with a number of factories.
Casino du Lac-Leamy
The Casino du Lac-Leamy (formerly the Casino de Hull) is a government run casino in Gatineau, Quebec. The casino was opened in 1996, the third of a group of casinos built by the provincial government to raise funds. Ottawa, the larger city across the river, was also planning to build a casino in the early 1990s, but these plans were blocked by the provincial government. The Gatineau casino thus also serves Ottawa and eastern Ontario.
Leamy Lake
Leamy Lake is a lake in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. The lake is located just to the south of the Gatineau River, and just west of the Ottawa River, and is linked to both of them with flowing in from the Gatineau and exiting to the Ottawa. To the south is the Lac de la Carrière, a former quarry that is now a lake that is also linked. The lake is named after Andrew Leamy, an Irish settler in the region who operated a mill near the lake.

Boulevard Maisonneuve
Boulevard Maisonneuve is an important arterial in the heart of Downtown Gatineau, Quebec. It serves as connector route between the Portage Bridge from Ottawa to Quebec Autoroutes 5 and 50 as well as Boulevard Fournier towards the Gatineau sector of the city, northern portions of the Hull sector and the northern east suburbs. It also gives access to the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge and the Alexandra Bridge (via Boulevard des Allumettières formerly Boulevard Saint-Laurent).
Boulevard Alexandre-Taché
Boulevard Alexandre-Taché is an east-west road located in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is named in honour of former National Assembly of Quebec member for the Hull electoral district, Alexandre Taché who served as the MNA for 15 years with the Union Nationale political party when they were in power under the leadership of Maurice Duplessis. The road starts at the western limits of the Hull sector with Aylmer just west of Boulevard Saint-Raymond south of the Manoir des Trembles community.
Boulevard Fournier
Boulevard Fournier is a main route in the city of Gatineau, Quebec that connects the Gatineau and Hull sectors. It starts as the extension of Boulevard Greber in the old city of Gatineau and ends at the entrance of the downtown core where it becomes Boulevard Maisonneuve which connects the Portage Bridge towards Ottawa. It was once part of Route 148 until the Quebec Ministry of Transportation rerouted the provincial highway onto Autoroute 50 and Autoroute 5 as a concurrency.
Boulevard du Plateau
Boulevard du Plateau is a collector roadway located in Gatineau, Quebec, beside Route 148. This road is separated in two sections; the first one is a small route starting at Chemin Vanier in Aylmer before it terminates at a dead-end. It is home to the new D'Arcy McGee English high school which recently moved from its former location near the Hull Hospital, several kilometers away.
Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes
Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes is a major road in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It begins on the northwestern outskirts of the city, where Chemin de la Mine becomes Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, and runs mainly to the southeast, along the eastern boundary of Gatineau Park. The Boulevard later becomes Promenade du Lac des Fees after meeting with Boulevard Saint-Raymond near the hospital.

It is located in the city of Gatineau near the intersection of Greber and Maloney Boulevards, one of the city's busiest intersections and just off Autoroute 50. It is considered to be the second largest shopping centre in the area in terms of retail space trailing only St. Laurent Shopping Centre's 972,000 square feet .
CFTX-FM
CFTX-FM (Capitale Rock) is a French-language radio station based in Gatineau, Quebec. After receiving approval in 2005, the station was launched in 2006 with an active rock format as Tag Radio and later, Tag Radio X, after its sister station in Quebec City, CHOI-FM. It changed to a modern rock format as Tag Radio X, in 2009. On July 26, 2010, CFTX changed its format to its current mainstream rock format. but left most of the newer French rock tunes alone.

Robert Guertin Centre
The Robert Guertin Centre (formerly Robert Guertin Arena and Hull Arena) is a 4,000 capacity (3,196 seated) multi-purpose arena in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It is considered by many Gatineau residents, particularly of the Hull sector, as a cultural and sport heritage location for the region. It was built in 1957 and is home to the Gatineau Olympiques ice hockey team. The arena also briefly hosted the Ottawa 67's in 1967, while the Ottawa Civic Centre was under construction.
