The Heron Road Bridge is a bridge in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It connects Baseline Road and Heron Road passing over both the Rideau River and the Rideau Canal just south of Carleton University. The bridge was built in 1966, and its construction saw one of the worst accidents in Ottawa history.

St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine is a prominent Ukrainian Catholic church in Ottawa, Canada. The only Ukrainian Catholic parish in the Ottawa region, the St. John the Baptist parish first formed in 1914. After meeting in other parishes' churches for some years, in 1918 the parish purchased a building to the west of downtown and converted it into a church. In 1966 it moved into a temporary building on Carling Avenue.

Prince of Wales on the Rideau is an upscale neighbourhood of 210 homes in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located on a peninsula between the Rideau River and Prince of Wales Drive, on the west shore of Mooney's Bay. Prior to its development in 2006/2007, the land was part of the Moffat Farm. The Moffat family donated their land to the city for a park service, but the city changed it to residential zoning, making it one of the most controversial new homes projects in Ottawa in recent times.
