Liberty Village

Liberty Village is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded at the north by King Street West, the west by Dufferin Street, the south by the Gardiner Expressway, the east by Strachan Avenue, and the northeast by the CP railway tracks. The Liberty Village name was introduced as a positive 'brand' by the property owners and developers in the area in conjunction with the City of Toronto.

It was created by the non-profit Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative (TREC) which was incorporated in 1998. TREC continues to exist as a separate non-profit entity. WindShare's ExPlace wind turbine was erected on December 18, 2002, on the grounds of Exhibition Place, in Toronto. Drake Hotel (Toronto)

The Drake Hotel on Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada near Parkdale, was opened in 1890 as "Small's Hotel". At the time, the area was a major Canadian Pacific Railway hub near what was then one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in the city. In 1949, the hotel was acquired by new owners, who expanded the building and renamed it the Drake. The hotel eventually fell on hard times, along with its neighbourhood.

Fort Rouillé

Fort Rouillé or Fort Toronto was a French trading post located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that was established around 1750 but abandoned in 1759. The fort site is now part of the public lands of Exhibition Place. It is also the name of a street, located approximately 1 km north of the fort site, running south from Springhurst Avenue to the railway tracks. It was one of two French fortifications in Toronto.

Lake Shore Boulevard Bailey Bridge

Lake Shore Boulevard Bailey Bridge is a Bailey bridge in Toronto. It is the only remaining Bailey bridge within the pre-amalgamated City of Toronto. It was erected in 1952 (some say 1947) but dates back to World War II when it was manufactured for the British Army. It is used as a pedestrian bridge to connect Exhibition Place to the waterfront south of Lake Shore Boulevard.
