Greely, Ontario

Greely (pop. 7,056 - 2005) is a quickly growing rural village in the southern end of Ottawa, formerly a part of the Township of Osgoode. It has been a part of the City of Ottawa since amalgamation in 2001. Greely is currently the largest rural village in terms of land area and the third largest in terms of population in the City of Ottawa. In 2005, its population was reported as 7,056, with 2,378 dwellings.

Findlay Creek Village is a community within Ottawa, Ontario. It is located just south of the intersection of Leitrim Road and Bank Street. There are currently approximately 1100 homes of mixed types (singles, townhomes, semis, and small condo buildings called Java units), with about 200 homes built each year. The two developers in the community are Tartan Homes and Tamarack Homes. The Findlay Creek Community Association is the volunteer group representing the interest's of the community.

Rideau Carleton Raceway

Rideau Carleton Raceway is a Canadian horse racing and gambling complex located at Ottawa, Ontario. The facility began operation in 1962 and specialises in standardbred harness racing. In 2000, the venue introduced slot machines, under the authority of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation which were expected to draw annual revenue of $130 million. The site includes a restaurant and hosts musical performances.

Leitrim Station

Leitrim Station is an OC Transpo transit station in the suburban community of Leitrim in Ottawa, Ontario. It is located on Gilligan Road, which is just west of Albion Road and south off Leitrim Road, near the former Bytown and Prescott Railway Line. Leitrim was officially designated a Rapid Transit Station in the 2009 system map (despite not opening until 2010) and will be part of a future rapid transit corridor connecting the current end of the southeast transitway to Riverside South.

Mix FM (Ottawa)

Mix FM was an unlicensed radio station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The station broadcast as a pirate radio station on several frequencies, most notably on 91.9 FM. The station was "forced off the air" soon after midnight on December 14, 2009. However the station later signed back on the air 10 days later. The broadcast of Mix FM was forcibly shut down by Industry Canada on January 15, 2010, although the station continued for a short time to operate a podcast stream online.
