University of Western Australia
The University of Western Australia (UWA) was established by an Act of the Western Australian Parliament in February 1911, and began teaching students for the first time in 1913. It is the oldest university in the state of Western Australia and the only university in the state to be a member of the Group of Eight, as well as the sandstone universities. UWA was established under and is governed by the University of Western Australia Act 1911.
City of Nedlands
The City of Nedlands is a local government area in the inner western suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth, about 7 kilometres west of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of 20.0 square kilometres, maintains 137 km of roads and a little over 380 hectares of parks and gardens, and has a population of over 22,000 (2008).

Loch Street since 2002 has had its regular services limited due to low passenger numbers, distance from Karrakatta station and, prior to May 2009, the length of its platforms. The length of the platform wasn't long enough to accommodate four car train sets, resulting in certain trains skipping the station.

Jualbup Lake
Lake Jualbup, formerly Shenton Park Lake, is located in the suburb of Shenton Park, Perth, Western Australia. The lake is contained within Shenton Park, which is bounded by Lake Avenue, Excelsior Street, Evans Street and Herbert Road. As well as the lakes themselves, the park area includes open grassed space, playground equipment and a masonry building in the south-west corner. The lake is generally full during the winter rainy season, but can dry up completely during the summer months.

The suburb takes its name from a cottage built in 1833 by Captain Adam Armstrong and his sons, early settlers of the area that arrived aboard the ship the Gilmore. Armstrong, previously being the manager of the Earl of Dalkeith's estate in Scotland, named the cottage ‘Dalkeith Cottage’.

Crawley, Western Australia
Crawley is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Subiaco and City of Perth. The earlier name of the locality was Crawley Park. It is home to the University of Western Australia, the state's oldest and most prestigious university. During World War II Crawley was the start point for The Double Sunrise squadron which was formed in 1943 to keep the air route between Australia and the United Kingdom open.
Claremont Showgrounds
The Claremont Showgrounds are home to the annual Perth Royal Show. In 1902, 32 acres of land were reserved in the Perth suburb of Claremont for new showgrounds to replace the Guildford Showgrounds. The Royal Agricultural Show, of three days, was first held there in October and November, 1905.
Matilda Bay
Matilda Bay (known earlier as Crawley Bay, Sutherland's Bay and Eliza Bay) is a natural bay in the Swan River in Western Australia, adjacent to the Perth suburb of Crawley. It extends from Pelican Point to Mounts Bay Road below Kings Park. The University of Western Australia is immediately opposite. Other landmarks on Matilda Bay include Matilda Bay Restaurant, Pelican Point Sea Scouts, Royal Perth Yacht Club and Mounts Bay Yacht Club.
Karrakatta Cemetery
Karrakatta Cemetery is a metropolitan cemetery in the suburb of Karrakatta in Perth, Western Australia. Karrakatta Cemetery first opened for burials in 1899, with Robert Creighton. Currently managed by the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board, the cemetery attracts more than one million visitors each year. Cypress trees located near the main entrance are a hallmark of Karrakatta Cemetery. The cemetery contains a crematorium, and in 1995 Western Australia's first mausoleum opened at the site.

Western Australian Regional Computing Centre
WARCC is a five letter acronym that stands for Western Australian Regional Computing Centre. It was part of the University of Western Australia, parts of which were spun off later and renamed Winthrop Technology. WARCC was formed formally on 1-Jan-72, and ceased in 1991. It was formed in order to provide a range of computing services to the University, other universities in Western Australia, government departments, and some private companies.

Claremont Teachers College
Claremont Teachers College was Western Australia’s first post-secondary teaching institution. It opened in 1902 and closed in 1981, when it became a College of Advanced Education and later a campus of Edith Cowan University. The building is on land between Goldsworthy, Princess and Bay Roads in the western Perth suburb of Claremont.
Pelican Point (Swan River)
Pelican Point is a geographical feature and nature reserve on the Swan River in Perth, located at Matilda Bay near the University of Western Australia. The point is named for the pelicans that rest on sand bars at the end of the point. Pelican Point was formerly named Point Currie after Captain Currie, who in 1829 received an allotment of land in the area and which became known as Crawley. The area south of the point's axis is now a bird sanctuary.
Berndt Museum of Anthropology
The Berndt Museum of Anthropology is an anthropological museum in Perth, Western Australia, founded in 1976 by Ronald Berndt and Catherine Berndt. The museum was established to house the extensive collections accumulated by the Berndts during their lifelong careers as anthropologists. Although initially called the Anthropology Research Museum, it was renamed in 1992 in honor of the museum’s founders and principal benefactors.

Eliza (sculpture)
Eliza is a bronze sculpture located in Matilda Bay on the Swan River in Western Australia. The sculpture and plinth are mounted on a steel pylon 15 metres off the shoreline and depicts a woman about to dive off a wooden platform. It commemorates the old Crawley Baths which were a prominent Perth landmark during the early to mid 20th century. The sculpture is 2.2 metres high. The artwork has its own lighting from solar panels.
