Launceston, Tasmania
Launceston is a city in the north of Tasmania, Australia at the junction of the North Esk and South Esk rivers where they become the Tamar River. Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania after Hobart. With a population (greater urban and statistical sub division) of 106,153, Launceston is the ninth largest non-capital city in Australia. Settled by Europeans in March 1806, Launceston is one of Australia's oldest cities and is home to many historic buildings.
Silverdome (Launceston)
The Silverdome, Australia's first indoor velodrome, is an indoor sporting and entertainment venue located in Launceston, Tasmania built in 1984. The Silverdome was built at an estimated cost of A$4 million, as the Tasmanian Government "proposed a world class facility" to replace the run down velodrome in the Launceston suburb of St Leonards. In January 1985, the facility's opening coincided with the City of Launceston Cycling Club Championships.

In 1988, the station moved to the 100-year-old City Park Cottage in Launceston's City Park and started using the name City Park Radio. In 1993, work was started on a new studio complex behind the cottage.

Breadalbane, Tasmania
Breadalbane is a Tasmanian town, situated on the Midlands Highway, 11.2 kilometres from Launceston, Breadalbane was named by Governor Macquarie after the Earl of Breadalbane, his wife's cousin. Earlier the district was known as 'Cocked Hat', 'The Springs' and 'Brumby's Plain'. Breadalbane Post Office opened on 1 October 1847 and closed in 1968. The Breadalbane area was notorious in the early 19th century for sheep stealing.
