HMAS Parramatta (D55)
HMAS Parramatta, named for the Parramatta River, was a River-class torpedo-boat destroyer of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Ordered in 1909 for the Commonwealth Naval Forces (the predecessor of the RAN), Parramatta was the first ship launched for the Australian navy. Temporarily commissioned into the Royal Navy for the delivery voyage to Australia, the destroyer came under Australian naval control in 1910, and on 1 March 1911 was recommissioned into the RAN, shortly before its founding.
Brooklyn, New South Wales
Brooklyn is a town to the north of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 51 kilometres from the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Hornsby Shire. Brooklyn is sometimes considered the northernmost suburb of the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area, as it is located on the Sydney side of the Hawkesbury River, and Mooney Mooney Bridge. Milson Island
Milson Island is located in New South Wales, Australia. It was first settled over 100 years ago and has been used as a mental hospital, a jail, and now a sports and recreation centre. It is in the middle of the Hawkesbury river, so the only means of transport is by ferry. Some of the activities available at Milson Island include a high ropes course, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and abseiling. The accommodation is 3-4 stars with many lodges.

It consists of two platforms in an island configuration with access via a footbridge. The original station building remains on the platform. The station is noted for its remoteness and having an extraordinarily short platform, which is less than a train carriage long. It is the only railway station in Australia which has no road access.

Dangar Island
Dangar Island is a forested island, 29 hectares in area, in the Hawkesbury River, just north of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Dangar Island is a suburb of Hornsby Shire and as at the 2011 Census had a population of 267, which swells dramatically during holiday seasons. The island is serviced regularly by the Dangar Island Ferry service that departs from Brooklyn and takes about ten minutes. The Brooklyn ferry is itself adjacent to the CityRail station of Hawkesbury River.
Marramarra Parish, Cumberland
Marramarra Parish, Cumberland is one of the 57 parishes of Cumberland County, New South Wales, a cadastral unit for use on land titles. The first landholding in the Parish of Marramarra was of 6 acres on the northern side of Marramarra Creek below Mount Blake. It was purchased by John Blake for One Pound Ten Shillings Sterling on June 6, 1835. The land had been advertised for sale by auction in an advertisement dated December 13, 1834.
Pindar Cave
Pindar Cave is a geological formation which appears as a massive concave of overhanging sandstone rock. It is located west of Woy Woy which is north of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in Brisbane Water National Park. Although its name implies a cave, the whole formation is actually an overhang. It is large enough for sixty walkers to camp overnight under its shelter away from wet weather.
Peats Ferry Bridge
The Peats Ferry Bridge is a road bridge which crosses the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. It was built as part of the Hornsby-Kariong section of the Pacific Highway, the first direct road link between Sydney and Newcastle, New South Wales. Before this was built, road transport had to use a much longer route through Wisemans Ferry, or even further west. Construction of the bridge commenced in 1938 but it was not completed until May 1945.

The Cowan Bank is an 8.6 km double-track section of the standard gauge main north railway line running between Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and Newcastle (168.1 km north of Sydney), one of the busiest rail corridors in Australia. The Cowan Bank is situated between Cowan railway station 48.8 km north of Sydney, and Hawkesbury River railway station 57.4 km north of Sydney.
