El Mouradia
El Mouradia-El Golf is a municipality in Algiers Province, Algeria. It is administratively part of Sidi M'Hamed district. Its municipal code is 1627 and postal code is 16070 and it has a population of 29,503 as of the 1998 census, which gives it 11 seats in the PMA. Great Mosque of Algiers
The Great Mosque of Algiers or “Djama’a al-Kebir” (meaning Great Mosque) is a mosque in Algiers, Algeria, located very close to Algiers Harbor. Icosium
Icosium was first a Phoenician, then a Roman city whose site is now occupied by the casbah area of the modern city of Algiers. The Algiers Observatory was built in the late nineteenth century in the Algiers suburb of Bouzaréah. Completed in 1956, it became the new cathedral in Algiers after the Cathedral of St. Philip of Algiers had been reconverted into the Moslem mosque Ketchaoua. It is the cathedral church of the Archdiocese of Algiers. Construction of the church began after a wish of Bishop Leynaud in 1944. It was elevated to a cathedral in December 1962 and consecrated in 1963.
