Namibia
Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Angola and Zambia to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. Although it does not border with Zimbabwe, less than 200 meters of riverbed separates them at their closest points. It gained independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence.
Windhoek East
Windhoek East is a constituency in the Khomas Region of Namibia. It consists of the upper-class suburbs of Windhoek: Auasblick, Avis, Klein Windhoek, Ludwigsdorf, Luxury Hill, Olympia, and Suiderhof. As of 2010 its population is 12.674. Windhoek East is the most affluent constituency of Windhoek, most embassies, private schools, private medical facilities, and shopping malls are located here, and the education rate of the inhabitants is high. All its roads are tarred.

Christ Church, Windhoek
The Christ Church (or Christuskirche) is a historic landmark and Lutheran church in Windhoek, Namibia. After the end of the wars between the Germans and the Khoikhoi, Herero, and Ovambo in 1907, the ground breaking ceremony took place and on October 16, 1910 the church was opened and dedicated as the Church of Peace. The Lutheran Church, which was built in the gothic revival style with Art Nouveau elements, stands in the historic center of Windhoek.

The Maerua Mall is a shopping complex in Windhoek, Namibia. Expanded to more than double its original size in 2006, Maerua Mall is now the largest shopping mall in Namibia and contains a number of retail outlets, including Ackermans, @home, FNB, and Total Sports. Along with Wernhil Park Mall, the two malls are the largest formal shopping venues in Namibia. Maerua mall lies opposite centaurus high school in Windhoek. It is currently the most popular mall in Namibia.
Supreme Court of Namibia
The Supreme Court of Namibia is the supreme court in all legal matters of the laws of Namibia. It is the court of last resort and the highest appellate court in the country. It is located in the centre of Namibia's capital city, Windhoek. A Supreme Court decision is supreme in that it can only be reversed by an Act of Parliament that contradicts it, or by another ruling of the Supreme Court itself.

Windhoek Central Business District is the inner city area of Windhoek, capital of Namibia. It is surrounded by the suburbs of Windhoek West and Hochland Park in the west, Windhoek-North in the north, Eros, Klein-Windhoek, Luxushügel and Auasblick in the east, and Suiderhof and Southern Industrial in the south. Windhoek Central consists of residential and business properties as well as public spaces. Most of Windhoek's governmental and administrative buildings are situated here.
National Art Gallery of Namibia
The National Art Gallery of Namibia) is an institution for art and culture of the government of Namibia and is situated in Windhoek, Namibia. Its aims are to encourage and cultivate art in Namibia. In the National Art Gallery of Namibia there is a permanent exhibition of international recognition showing Namibian, African and European art. The Gallery shows also local art. Joe Madisia – an artist himself – is the director at the moment.
State House of Namibia
The State House of the Republic of Namibia is the administrative capital of Namibia, as well the official residence of the President of Namibia. Located in the Auasblick suburb of Windhoek, the State House was constructed by Mansudae Overseas Projects of North Korea from September 2002 to March 2008, a total of 66 months. The administrative building cost N$ 400 million Namibian dollars.
Sanderburg
Sanderburg (Sander's castle) is the smallest of three castles in Windhoek, Namibia. It was built between 1917 and 1919 by architect Wilhelm Sander who designed it as his own place of residence. Its architectural style combines several medieval features.
Schwerinsburg
Schwerinsburg (Schwerin's castle) is the biggest of three castles in Windhoek, Namibia. Today is the private residence of the Italian ambassador in Namibia.
Heinitzburg
Heinitzburg (originally Heynitzburg, Heinitz' castle) is one of the three castles in Windhoek, Namibia. It was built in 1914 by architect Wilhelm Sander. Sander originally built the castle for himself but sold it in 1916 to Hans Bogislav Graf von Schwerin, who named the castle Heynitzburg after his wife Margarete's birth name "von Heynitz". Heinitzburg is used today as a restaurant and hotel.
Avis Dam
The Avis Dam is a dam outside of Windhoek, Namibia. It was built in 1933 by the South African colonial authorities. It first flooded in April 1934, but only exceeded 75% again in 2007.
German South-West Africa
German South-West Africa was a colony of the German Empire from 1884 until 1915, when it was taken over by the Union of South Africa (as part of the British Empire) and administered as South-West Africa, finally becoming Namibia in 1990. With an area of 835,100 km², it was one and a half times the size of the mainland German Empire in Europe (without its colonies) at the time.
Windhoek Show
The Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show is an annual trade fair in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It combines an agricultural exhibition, several industrial and retail offerings, and a range of entertainment facilities. The Windhoek Show was first held in 1899 and is since 1966 conducted annually. Held during the first week of October, the Windhoek Show is the biggest industrial and agricultural exhibition in Namibia. It attracts close to 100,000 visitors per year.
St. Paul's College, Namibia
St. Paul's College was established in 1962 as a Catholic all-boys school by the Tilburg Fraters. The Roman Catholic Church purchased a farm situated at the foot of Roman Hill in Klein Windhoek, a low density suburb in Windhoek, Namibia. Due to the presence of hot springs and fountains at the time, it was possible to develop a vineyard, gardens and orchards where the school is currently located. Alte Feste
The Alte Feste (Old Fortress) is a fortress and museum in downtown Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. The building was designed by captain Curt von François to serve as headquarters of the imperial German Schutztruppe (colonial military force) during German colonisation of South-West Africa. The location of Windhoek, which was deserted and completely destroyed at that time, was chosen because the Germans felt it would serve as a buffer zone between the Nama and Herero tribes.

Moses ǁGaroëb (constituency)
Moses ǁGaroëb is the name of an electoral constituency in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. It was created in 2003 at the recommendation of the Third Delimitation Commission which suggested that the constituency of Hakahana be split. Since then, the suburb of Hakahana falls into two different constituencies. In 2008 the constituency was named after the politician Moses ǁGaroëb. The eastern part of Hakahana is now called Tobias Hainyeko constituency, after politician Tobias Hainyeko.

Reiterdenkmal, Windhoek
