At 12:02 pm local time (2:02 pm Eastern), a long, strong earthquake struck the state of Guerrero, Mexico, approximately 120 miles east of Acapulco. The USGS estimated the tremor at magnitude-7.4, striking around 11 miles below the surface. It sent people in Mexico City into the streets, frightened as the buildings began swaying. About a half-hour after the main earthquake, a 5.1-magnitude aftershock was reported just miles from its epicenter....

This is an excercise made during a workshop by the brilliant Danish film director Christoffer Boe in Mexico City. We were given a 3 page scene without any descriptions except dialogue, so we had to figure out the story. It was an improvised 4h30 shoot and 1 day editing. The Mexican actors (Miguel Rodarte and Oliver Cantu) agreed to do the scene in English for the benefit of the workshop. We shot on Sony HDV and edited on FINAL CUT.
