Tomaree is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, 145-155 km northeast of Sydney in the Port Stephens local government area. It is located on the shores of the Tasman Sea, extending north from Fishermans Bay to Shoal Bay passing through Boat Harbour, One Mile, Nelson Bay and Fingal Bay.

Tea Gardens is a locality in the Great Lakes Council local government area, located near the southern extremity of the Mid North Coast and the northern extremity of the Hunter Region in New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Tea Gardens had a population of 2,094, with most of the population resident in the village of Tea Gardens at the southern end of the locality.

Salamander Bay, New South Wales
Salamander Bay is a suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. Named after the adjacent shallow bay, itself named after the Salamander, a convict ship from the Third Fleet, which was the first European vessel to enter Port Stephens (1791), it is a mainly residential suburb with a large shopping centre. At the 2011 census Salamander Bay had a population of 4,844.
Fingal Bay, New South Wales
Fingal Bay is the eastern-most suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia. The only population centre is the township of the same name, which itself is named after the adjacent, small, semi-circular bay. At the 2011 census, the population of the town was 1,503. Except for the township, most of Fingal Bay is included in the Tomaree National Park, which includes forested areas, coastal scrubland, beaches and most of the Fingal headland.

The station's licence was granted on 29 April 1998 and it transmits from Gan Gan Hill in Nelson Bay. Originally broadcasting on 98.3MHz, the station's frequency was changed to 99.3MHz on 8 August 2003. Bay FM 99.3 is owned and managed by Geoff and Jean Brown.

The main population centre of the suburb is the village also known as Boat Harbour. Both lie adjacent to the bay after which they were named. HMAS Assault
HMAS Assault was a Royal Australian Navy Naval Training Centre at Nelson Bay in the Port Stephens area of New South Wales, Australia during World War II. The site was chosen because Port Stephens was relatively isolated and provided a safe haven from the Japanese submarine activity occurring off the east coast of Australia. HMAS Westralia anchored in Port Stephens on 3 September 1942 to provide interim accommodation until HMAS Assault was completed.

It is one of two breeding sites of the nominate subspecies of the threatened Gould's Petrel and, with the nearby Cabbage Tree Island which hosts the principal colony, has been classified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area.
Tomaree Battery
Tomaree Battery (Fort Tomaree) was an artillery battery located on the southern side of the entrance to Port Stephens at Tomaree Head, New South Wales, Australia. The battery was built during 1941 during the Second World War as part of Fortress Newcastle and was completed in 1942. Two 6 inch Mark VII guns in emplacements were located at the battery. Another smaller battery of two 3 pounder guns, known as Surf Battery, was also located at Tomaree Head.
PS Brighton
PS Brighton was a ferry constructed by Thomas B Seath of Rutherglen in 1883 for the Sydney to Manly run. She was hulked in 1916 and used as a storeship for timber exporters in Port Stephens. Her hull lies abandoned in The Duckhole at Port Stephens.
